Taxable Benefit Policy
To comply with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) legislation, a taxable benefit will be assessed for your attendance at President’s Academy. This taxable benefit will be charged to each qualifier’s commission account in the fourth quarter of 2025. You will be notified by email of the amounts processed.
Taxable benefit is calculated for qualifiers by assessing all non-business-related program costs, including airfare, at approximately 60%. Taxable benefit is calculated for guests by assessing all non-business-related program costs, including airfare, at approximately 80%. Those who qualify for Business Class air travel will incur an additional taxable benefit; more information can be found here. Historically, the taxable benefit amount for qualifiers falls between $7500 – $8500. Please plan accordingly.
The coverage for guests (no registration fee) means there will be a Taxable Benefit assessed for guest participation, that will be charged to qualifier’s commission account.
Guest Policy
The qualifier can bring only one guest to President’s Academy. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to participate. Please note that the qualifier and invited guest will share a room at the host hotel. There will be an opportunity on the registration form to choose one or two beds for accommodation. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests but cannot be guaranteed.
Guest Attendance Guidelines
If your guest is not a licensed team member, their attendance includes the General Sessions, evening events/group functions, breakfasts, transfers and optional activities. The Business Session and CEO Roundtable & Breakouts are designed exclusively for qualifiers and business guests.
If your guest is a licensed team member or an IG Wealth Management consultant, they will have access to all events, including the Business Sessions and CEO Roundtable & Breakout Sessions.
Declining President's Program
Should you decline to attend, please email the President’s Program Mailbox to let us know as soon as you can for planning purposes.
Should you decline to attend President’s Academy, you will be provided with a cash payout based on your Achievement Level at the time of qualification – December 31, 2024.
Achievement Level 1 – 12 will be eligible for $6,000
Achievement Level 13+ will be eligible for $14,000
Accommodation Policy
MCI will book your accommodations during program dates at the Villa Igiea and confirm details with you. Please indicate on your registration form whether you would like to extend your stay (subject to availability), and MCI will be in touch to assist you with booking your extension.
Payment for any extensions will be settled with Villa Igiea upon your arrival to the hotel.
Flight Policy
MCI is available to book flights for you and your guest in making your travel arrangements to and from Palermo, and with any extension arrangements should you wish to use their services. This priority service is included as a qualifier benefit. You can indicate on your registration form whether you will be booking your flights with MCI or booking your own.
If you choose to book air travel with MCI, they will reach out to you to assist with booking your flights. If you prefer to book your own travel, or use rewards points to book your own flight, you may do so.
For qualifiers booking your own travel, please email a copy of your itinerary and a copy of your flight receipt, showing all flight charges, to the President’s Program mailbox for reimbursement.
Priority on flights will be given in the order that registration is received, so please register early for the best possible flight schedules. If you qualify for Business Class, please book as soon as possible, as seats are subject to availability and can sell out quickly. Priority will be given in the order that the registration form is received.

Transfer Policy
If you are travelling to President’s Academy on group dates, airport transfers will be provided for you and your guest. Transfers for early arrivals in and late departures out of Falcone Borsellino Airport to the Villa Igiea are covered should you wish to go in advance or extend your stay after the program, up to 3 days pre/post group travel dates only. Please provide MCI with your itineraries to make the arrangements, if applicable. Event transfers during the program are included. Meeting times and locations will be listed on the final Schedule of Events.
